North Carolina, Pennsylvania
Welcome
Sean Clark founded York Independents, Inc. in 2001 to help others access knowledge and strategies to help find more knowledge in their financial future. Originally trained as an engineer, Sean says the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks awakened a desire in him to find a way to more closely help the people in his community, and he changed his focus to financial services.
“It is imperative to have professional financial guidance while building your nest egg to help get you ‘to’ retirement, but it is even more imperative to have professional financial guidance once retired, to help get you ‘through’ retirement,” Sean says.
Sean is an Investment Adviser Representative of Royal Fund Management, having passed the Series 65 securities exam, and he is licensed in Pennsylvania and North Carolina for health (Medicare) and life insurance as well as annuities.
Sean is also a Master Registered Financial Consultant (MRFC) through the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC). Those with the MRFC certification have demonstrated the required level of education and experience and have passed an assessment designed to measure competency in the field. Continuing professional education is also required each year. Sean’s commitment to continuing his education is rooted in his clients’ trust in him, and he intends to constantly seek out opportunities to better help him help his clients.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering at Penn State University and his Master of Business Administration in entrepreneurship from American Public University. He has also completed graduate training in financial markets at Yale University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of the Cumberlands. Sean is an adjunct Professor of Business at Southern New Hampshire University, Grand Canyon University, and the University of Arizona.
Sean is a resident of Wilmington, North Carolina, where he and his wife, Annette, are raising their three daughters, Virginia, Callie, and Savannah. Sean is a muscle car fan, is restoring a 1970 Pontiac Lemans Sport, and sponsors the NHRA Leverage Racing Team. In his free time, Sean and his family love to travel the United States in their RV.
